Yang Lu

Data Analyst

Yang Lu is a data analyst at the Institute for Child, Youth and Family Policy at the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University.

Lu brings research interests and experience in educational inequalities and quantitative social sciences to the research and data projects at diversitydatakids.org. Utilizing a range of computational tools, Lu helps develop indicators and maintain the data pipeline for the Child Opportunity Index.

Lu earned his master's in education policy analysis from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and bachelor's in economics and urban studies from McGill University. Before graduate school, he was a dean’s fellow of new students and diversity at New York University in Shanghai.
